One Day Classes:Multi Week Classes:

Writing Prompt: Our prompt today is borrowed from A Writer's Book of Days. Write what comes to mind when you think of falling asleep. Do you have a ritual to help yourself fall asleep? Have you ever fallen asleep at an inopportune moment? Add a sensory detail to it (smell, taste, sound, touch, sight), then write about it for 10 minutes. Post your sleepy story in the comments of this blog.

Comment on this blog! What happens when you, or your characters, fall asleep?
Post your 10 minute write in the comments, and you could win a free class!

You are getting very sleepy...
A dense fog is settling in over your head, leaving drops of dreamy dew on your brow. The heather gray smoke, slightly wet, served chilled, nestled at your knees, invisible feet. Fly. Float away. Eyes closed, as the forgiving breeze evaporates the troubling day. Lost in the thick fog.
Hazy thoughts, broken images from a damaged vhs tape, scratchy and worn thin. Soon too faint to remember. Only the memory of a pillow kiss. Swallowed by your cloud of blankets, loose yourself. Dream deep. Rest well.
